Building Alliances with SE4All Key Stakeholders

A number of meetings were held with decision-makers from the Government organizations and Civil Society organizations to advocate and lobby for the integration of GESI into national level policy-making and implementation processes. The team also attended at least six national-level SE4All events. The objectives of the meetings and attendance at SE4All events were to introduce the project to SE4All stakeholders, and to support the integration of GESI into national energy policies and in the formulation of the SE4All national action plan and investment prospectus.

Additionally, a series of interaction programmes and coordination meetings were conducted at district level. District level interaction programmes have involved representatives from DDCs, VDCs and CSOs from Dhading, Kavrepalanchowk, Lalitpur, Khotang, Sindhuli and Udayapur districts.  During key stakeholders’ survey, about 150 CSOs and 40 key regional SE4All stakeholders acknowledged CRT/N & consortium’s efforts for their improved understanding of GESI issues in relation to energy systems.
