Programmes and updates
The two-day kickoff meeting with partner organization was held on March 27 and 28, 2017 to create and finalize a joint strategy and planning for the implementation of Green and Inclusive Energy program, Nepal. The project is supported by the ENERGIA/Hivos Foundation, an international development organization in the Netherlands, which is guided by humanist values.
GIE Nepal Project is built on
the Theory of Change (ToC) approach. The Theory of Change approach plans
and thinks strategically through joint ownership to promote shared
understanding, decision-making, clear and agreed roles and responsibilities of
each actor .
The Program strong focus on lobby and advocacy which seeks
to influence citizen agency, public/ political debate and national plans and
policies towards green and inclusive energy program so that the energy needs of
women and men are met and also aims to strengthen partner organizations through
capacity development of their lobby and advocacy skills.
During the two-day
program, the participants went through the introduction of GIE program, Theory
of Change (ToC), Outcome Harvesting. CRT/N
along with partner organizations exercised to develop an action plan and all
committed to contribute collectively to achieve the GIE’s objectives through
capacity building and shared knowledge.
